Job Description
Embark on an extraordinary journey as a Travel ER Registered Nurse in Newport, Oregon, where every shift is a chance to make a meaningful difference in urgent, high-stakes care. You’ll bring calm, expert assessment and swift interventions to the ER, guiding patients through critical moments with confidence and compassion. This is more than a contract; it’s an invitation to grow your skills, expand your professional reach, and experience a coastline that blends rugged beauty with a vibrant healthcare community. The assignment begins 11/24/2025 and runs for several weeks, with guaranteed hours and the potential for extension, letting you plan ahead while delivering outstanding care. As you answer the call of the coast, you’ll also have opportunities to work in diverse locations across the U.S., enriching your clinical repertoire and professional network.
Newport sits along Oregon’s legendary coastline, offering sweeping ocean vistas, sea breeze, and a unique blend of small-town charm and scientific excellence. Working here means you’ll thrive in a community that values teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care, with access to coastal recreation and regional cultural experiences that nourish your well-being outside the hospital walls. You’ll benefit from the region’s robust medical network, while enjoying the flexibility and variety that come with travel assignments. If you crave a broader professional landscape, you’ll also have the option to explore assignments across the U.S., gaining exposure to different patient populations, hospital systems, and clinical workflows. This combination of Newport’s local appeal and national travel opportunities creates a rich backdrop for meaningful practice and personal discovery.

You’ll initiate protocols for chest pain, stroke alerts, trauma responses, and infectious conditions; monitor vital signs, manage IVs, administer medications, and assist with procedures under physician direction. You’ll document thoroughly in the electronic health record, coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, and case management to ensure smooth patient throughput, and advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout every cycle of care. You’ll have the chance to sharpen competencies in resuscitation, trauma care, pediatrics, and disaster readiness, with ongoing access to mentorship and specialty training.
- Professional growth: This assignment is designed to broaden clinical autonomy, enhance critical thinking, and expand critical care exposure within the ER specialty. Expect a supportive, inclusive culture that values your expertise, recognizes your contributions, and invests in your ongoing professional development. You’ll be part of a network that prioritizes mental and physical well-being, work-life balance, and clear pathways for career advancement as you pursue future opportunities in nursing leadership, specialty certifications, or advanced practice roles.
