About the Position

Ensemble Performing Arts  is seeking fun, experienced, and professional voice and piano instructors to teach part-time at our Austin locations. This teacher will be instructing IN PERSON at our school. 

We have 5 locations in the Northwest and Southwest Austin area:

Northwest Austin
Northwest School of Music
Velocity Music Academy - Cedar Park
The Musician's Woodshed - North Parmer

Southwest Austin
Velocity Music Academy - Arbor Trails
The Musician's Woodshed - Lake Travis

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $28-$32/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

Velocity Music Academy, our school in Cedar Park and Arbor Trails, Texas, provides positive, memorable opportunities for students of all skill levels to explore their interest in music through a rewarding progression of discovery. Our teachers are highly skilled and nurturing to our more than 200 students per week.

Northwest School of Music offers private, weekly music lessons in a clean, safe, fun and family-oriented environment. Since 2004, we have taught thousands of students from Austin, Cedar Park and central Texas. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff of University degreed music instructors teach lessons in guitar (acoustic and electric), piano, electric bass guitar, drums, voice, violin, and ukulele. We offer each student an inspiring learning environment in a community that fosters love and appreciation for music.

The Musicians Woodshed is located in Lake Travis and North Parmer, TX. At The Musicians Woodshed, our instructors design customized lesson plans for each and every student on their schedule. We focus on the student's music tastes, skill set, and personal goals to optimize a music-learning experience. Our performance-based, flexible curriculum offers an exciting, engaging and encouraging environment for students to pick up an instrument. We want students playing music they enjoy, because if a student is playing music they like- they play more. When students play more- they get better.
