Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the GOVCON industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. You will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing financial advice to management. Your expertise in accounting principles and practices will be essential in ensuring the financial health of our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of experience in accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Deltek/CostPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA certification
Experience with GovCon
Experience with financial analysis and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions
Prepare financial statements and analyze financial data
Provide financial advice to management
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practices
