Job Description

Summary

The center cook/chef prepares and serves high quality meals to children enrolled in Tabernacle of Praise Early Learning Center. You must ensure programs compliance with Bright from the Start Child Care Licensing Regulations, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements, active supervision, and other applicable regulations, best practices, and program policies and procedures, and maintain standards of professionalism.

Duties

• Meal Preparation in a timely manner
• Develop and input monthly menus for the center
• Maintain CACFP adherence
• Prepare Shopping list and order foods within the parameters of an established monthly budget
• Set up, clean up, organization and maintenance of food preparation area, pantry, refrigerators, freezers
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
• 18 hours of training yearly for professional development
• Participation in all required center trainings and mandatory meetings

Requirements

• Previous cook/chef experience required
• Ability to start at 6:30 am
