Their way of providing physical therapy focuses on working closely with each patient.
They use special hands-on methods and teach patients about their treatment. Each therapist has learned many traditional techniques, and some have also studied different kinds of treatments.
They help patients with:
- Injuries from sports and orthopaedic issues
- Training for walking
- Training for balance, as well as treatment for fractures, sprains, and dislocations
- Muscle and joint problems
- Pain in the neck and back
- Nervous system issues (like stroke and Parkinson’s disease)
- Balance and prevention of falls
- Diseases of bones and joints
- Injuries to hands
- Injuries from work
- Problems with pelvic floor (related to bladder control)
- Breathing rehabilitation
On average, each therapist sees about 8 patients each day from Monday to Thursday, and 6 patients on Friday.
**Qualifications Needed:**
- At least 2 years of current experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required. New graduates cannot apply for this position.
- An updated CAQH profile is necessary.
- An NPI number must be included in the profile.
- Must be flexible and ready to work as an Inpatient PTA if needed.
- Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy school.
- Previous experience in rehabilitation is required.
- At least 3 months of travel experience is necessary.
- Experience with CPSI EMR is strongly preferred.
