Company Overview:

We seek a visionary and compassionate therapist to lead our dedicated team in fulfilling our mission. As the Therapist at A Better U, you will be pivotal in driving our comprehensive approach to counseling, therapy, education, and community support. Your leadership will guide our agency in breaking down barriers, reducing stigmas, and building bridges toward a future where mental and emotional well-being is integral to overall health.

Responsibilities:

• Provide screenings, assessments and diagnoses of mental health conditions and functional assessments identifying barriers to improving and maintaining optimal physical health.
• Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
• Assist in the detection of “at risk” patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
• Provide brief, focused interventions for mental and behavioral health problems and disorders.
• Attend individual biweekly meetings with the clinical director for updates and collaboration.
• Demonstrate practical verbal and written communication skills while interacting with clients.
• Display exceptional interpersonal skills and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.
• Required experience with completing treatment plans and clinical case notes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client treatment records.
• Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current OHIO state licensure as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) , Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of therapeutic experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disparities, cultural competence, and equity.
• Demonstrated success in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Job Type:

• Independent Contractor

Compensation:

• $40-55 an hour

Schedule:

• Choose your own schedule.

Location:

• Remote and or in person with in the community.
