Alliance Marine is seeking an experienced, hands-on
General Manager to take the helm at
Port Lorain Marina —a premier full-service marina located on the southern shore of Lake Erie in Lorain, Ohio.

Port Lorain Marina is a cornerstone of Lorain’s revitalized waterfront district. The marina features
over 400 slips ,
fuel dock ,

About The Role As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of marina operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development. You’ll bring enthusiasm, creativity, and leadership to help shape the guest experience, strengthen community connections, and drive operational excellence.

Safety, Compliance, and Maintenance Safety First: Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Maintenance
Leader: Conduct proactive inspections and coordinate repairs to keep the property in prime condition.
Community and Relationship Building Ambassador of Alliance Marine: Represent the marina within the Lorain community and Great Lakes boating network.
Partnership Builder: Cultivate relationships with local organizations, tourism boards, and waterfront businesses to strengthen the marina’s role as a regional destination.
Training and Development Empowerment Advocate: Develop staff training focused on safety, service, and leadership growth.
Career Developer: Mentor and guide team members to advance within the Alliance Marine network.
Continuous Improvement Performance Navigator: Track KPIs and financial metrics, using data to drive accountability and smart decision-making.
Innovation Driver: Seek new technologies and ideas that elevate the marina experience and reinforce Alliance Marine’s reputation for excellence.
Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in marina, hospitality, or resort management
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with marina systems, safety compliance, and environmental standards
- Passion for boating, community, and the waterfront lifestyle
