Job Description

Salary: $119,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• I have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other related quantitative field.
• I possess 7 years of experience in data science or a related field, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning operations.
• I have a proven track record of implementing and scaling models in an operations or customer-focused company.
• I demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and have experience with cloud implementation scripting.
• I am familiar with big data technologies, real-time streaming data technologies, and cluster computing environments.
• I have knowledge and exposure to cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• I am legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• I will implement data science algorithms in bpx’s ML Studio (SageMaker) and create systems to monitor the performance of ML algorithms in production.
• As the subject matter expert of ML Operations, I will guide data scientists in the practical implications of model design.
• I will collaborate with the data engineering team to build and maintain data pipelines from systems like Snowflake and OSI Pi.
• I will partner with the bpx Architecture team to ensure endpoints, compute, and network considerations are incorporated into solutions.
• I will take the initiative to stay up to date with the latest data science trends, techniques, and best practices, integrating the most suitable practices within the department.
• I will work as part of a geographically dispersed team, effectively communicating prioritized business needs and project statuses.
• I will design systems aimed at balancing cost and performance to meet business outcomes.
