Provides technical nursing care through treatment and education of patients in accordance with Registered Nurse and physicians’ treatment plan. Cares for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical issues or are recovering from surgery. Average 6:1 nurse to patient ratio.
EDUCATION: Completion of accredited LPN program of 13 to 24 months.
EXPERIENCE: None required. New grads welcome.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Licensed Practical Nurse. BLS within 90 days of hire required
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office machines, computer terminals, patient therapeutic cquipment, pyxis machine.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of appropriate patient population, growth and development.
SCHEDULE: PRN (as needed – hours vary)
