TITLE: Clinician V                                         

COMPANY OF ASSIGNMENT: ____________KRCC______________

PURPOSE: To provide quality counseling services to consumers.

FLSA: Exempt
Leave/Termination Notice Requirement Classification :  Professional

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:  __Operations Facilitator/Program Director__
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Professional Development as Assigned


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :  

1.         Responsible for specific duties as assigned, e.g.,

 
  • Provide screening, assessment and diagnostic impression interviews of consumers.
  • Provide individual and group counseling/therapy to consumers and families.
  • Provide psychosocial evaluations.
  • Provide treatment planning and termination summaries as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide consultation/education/emergency services.
  • Provide outpatient appointment and follow-up with appropriate service agencies as required.
  • Work with Consumer Access Specialist to ensure daily schedule is full in order to meet consumer needs and required professional time standards.
  • Participate with process improvement activities as directed by program needs.
  • Provide Clinical and/or Board Supervision upon becoming eligible.
  • Serve as Billing Supervisor for program staff as required.
  • *Provide on-call crisis services as scheduled in accordance with designated on-call protocol.

Standard: Assigned duties are completed within specified time frame.
Measure: Review of consumer medical record documentation/entry, other quality assurance documentation and supervisor's records of assigned duties.

2.         Prepare and maintain necessary reports and service documentation.

 
  • Complete service documentation and billing entries within 24 hours of
service delivery.

Standard: Reports and documentation completed in a timely manner with minimal deficiencies.
Measure: Review of reports and service documentation.

3.         Participate in skill enhancement activities, both as participant and provider.

Standard: Attendance at in-services/workshops.
Measure: Review of attendance sheets/certificates of attendance.

4.         Obtain required continuing education hours and other training as necessary to meet state, agency and credentialing requirements.
 
Standard: Completion of CEUs within specified time frame.  Completion of training
as identified on Learner Profile.
Measure: Review of documentation verifying completion of hours/training.

5.         Provide backup for other clinicians as assigned.

Standard: Assigned duties completed correctly within specified time frames.
Measure: Review of supervisor’s record of assigned duties

6.         Serve as professional development (clinical / Board) supervisor for certified and
associate level staff as assigned.

Standard:     Supervision provided in accordance with regulating Board guidelines.
Measure:       Review of supervisor’s records of assigned duties.

7.         Other duties as assigned.

Standard: Assigned duties are completed within specified time frame.
Measure: Review of supervisor's records of assigned duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : PhD., PsyD. in Human Services.

WORKING CONDITIONS :  

Majority of work completed in Outpatient Clinic with occasional work in the community.

LIST OF EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB :

General Office Equipment – computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, telephone, printer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / JOB HAZARDS:

 
  1. Current TB skin test indicating no evidence of communicable disease.
  2. Possible contact with bodily fluids.
  3. Possible physical management (lifting, balancing, maneuvering).

Additional Requirements:

 
  • This position requires a clean drug screen prior to and randomly throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Background checks conducted prior to hire and updated annually.
