Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced and reliable flooring installers- individuals or established crews -to install various types of flooring in commercial environments. Installers must have the skills, tools, and transportation necessary to complete high-quality installations efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate or crew is detail-oriented, punctual, and committed to delivering professional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install flooring materials including but not limited to:
- Carpet (broadloom and tile)
- Vinyl (VCT, LVT, sheet vinyl)
- Sports
- Laminate and rubber flooring
- Ceramic, porcelain, and other tile
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications
- Perform floor prep work including leveling, patching, grinding, and moisture mitigation
- Operate floor installation tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, and team members
- Complete work according to project timelines and quality standards
- Comply with all company safety protocols and job site requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in flooring installation (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Crews must have reliable transportation and own tools/equipment
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must pass background check or meet site-specific clearance requirements (if applicable)
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial flooring and large-scale projects
- Certified in floor leveling or moisture mitigation (e.g., Ardex, Schonox)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Knowledge of floor covering standards (e.g., CFI, INSTALL)
