Network Connex is hiring 10 Fiber Splicing Technicians for one of the largest data center projects in the world, located in Abilene, Texas. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile site with a team of 50+ cable splicers. The role focuses on precision fiber splicing and comprehensive testing to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for high-speed data transmission.
- Perform fusion splicing and fiber testing
- Work collaboratively with a large team to meet project deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of fiber splicing experience (environment does not matter).
- Ability to work both shift schedules (day and night).
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation to and from the data center site.
- Commitment to the full contract duration (site closed only 3 days for Christmas).
- Must be able to start on December 12th or December 16th.
