Economic Development Technician

Salary : $43,446 - $49,647 annually

The City of Oshkosh is seeking a dedicated Economic Development Technician to enhance our Community Development Department. This essential position will play a vital role in advancing the city's redevelopment initiatives and bolstering neighborhood economic growth, emphasizing strategic real estate and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and assist in financial analyses for various economic development projects.
• Support the marketing, negotiation, and sale of city-owned properties.
• Assist in developing and executing marketing plans for city land.
• Provide support to economic development committees and redevelopment projects.
• Manage and maintain city and RDA-owned properties, including environmental and acquisition tasks.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : Associate Degree in business administration, real estate, finance, urban planning, marketing, or related field.
• Experience: Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in marketing, economic development, and financial principles.
• Strong organizational and program implementation skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Competence in MS Office; GIS knowledge is a plus.
