Customer Engagement Team Leader
The Customer Engagement Team Leader for Target drives satisfaction, strengthens the Colgate-Target partnership, and optimizes our presence with this key retailer. This visible role leads a high-performing team managing the Colgate-Target supply chain and serves as the primary supply chain contact for all Oral Care customer engagement. The Team Leader ensures Colgate's portfolio availability, meets service goals, and aligns with Target's priorities through a motivated, collaborative environment. The Team Leader manages inventory, in-stock, and supply chain execution, collaborating with Target's buying/replenishment and internal Colgate teams for seamless planning. They support the JBP roadmap, lead cross-functional initiatives, and serve as the primary supply chain partner to the Commercial Key Account Leader, driving Target-specific goals and top-tier results.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop the Target support team, championing open communication and creating a collaborative, goal-driven environment
Coach team and develop their capabilities in customer engagement, problem-solving, and technical skills necessary to support Target’s evolving business needs
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, modeling Colgate’s leadership values in all interactions
Manage team workload and goals to align with current and future account requirements, ensuring optimal support coverage across all product categories
Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to optimize replenishment, minimize out-of-stocks, and support business reviews and Joint Business Planning (JBP) with Target
Drive process improvements and supply chain efficiency projects, ensuring Colgate products meet or exceed Target guest expectations
Oral Care Customer Engagement
Serve as the key supply chain lead for all Oral Care Customer Engagement activities with Target, managing day-to-day operations
Collaborate with Target’s replenishment and inventory teams, as well as internal partners (Commercial, Customer Service, E2E Network Operations, Supply Chain Excellence), to ensure timely and accurate flow of Oral Care products
Own inventory health, in-stock, service, and inventory productivity targets for Oral Care SKUs, conducting data analysis to identify root causes for service gaps and drive corrective actions
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Minimum 6 years of experience in CPG supply chain, with a preference for experience managing replenishment activities with major retailers (Target, Walmart, etc.)
Proven experience in leading and developing teams
Expert understanding of replenishment, forecasting, and inventory management—preferably in the Oral Care (or adjacent health/beauty) category
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel or Tableau or SQL or similar reporting tools
Track record of delivering operational excellence and driving process improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
An advanced degree in supply chain, MBA, or related field
Experience with DOMO, Sigma, Snowflake, Google sheets, Google Data Studio
SAP/Kinaxis System knowledge
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to simplify complex issues for cross-functional partners and retailer stakeholders
Ability to influence and build strong partnerships with both internal teams and Target contacts at various levels
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD
