DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or a related role
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Pipedrive)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight GC deadlines
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Estimating experience within the construction industry
• Willingness to travel to visit clients and projects

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work
• Performing quantity take-offs and cost analyses
• Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Participating in bid preparation and submission processes
• Maintaining historical cost databases and estimation tools
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies
• Tracking changes in project scope and adjusting estimates accordingly

ABOUT THE COMPANY

An established construction firm specializing in high-quality interior and exterior application and drywall solutions. Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will report to a Chief Estimator and have additional support as required from the team.
