Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location: Principles Recovery Center – Davie, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a BHT or in a similar direct care role
• Experience working with adult clients in a substance use treatment setting
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a Level II background check and drug screen
• Available full-time for listed schedule

About the Role

BHTs at PRC play a vital role in supporting adult clients through structured recovery programming, maintaining safety and accountability, and fostering a clean, professional environment. This role requires strong teamwork with clinicians, detailed documentation, and consistent collection of UAs. Ideal for someone dependable, calm under pressure, and passionate about helping others.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support adult clients throughout daily programming
• Complete shift notes, room checks, incident reports, and behavior documentation
• Conduct regular headcounts, rounds, and safety checks
• Collect and document urine drug screens (UAs) in accordance with policy
• Maintain cleanliness and order of all shared program spaces
• Enforce program rules while modeling professional and respectful communication
• Collaborate with therapists, medical staff, and leadership
• Participate in team meetings and shift-change debriefs
• Escort clients to appointments or activities as needed
