**Job Description: Apprentice Electrician - Solar Site (Retrofits & Ground Electrical)** **Location** **Deer Trail, Colorado** **Compensation & Schedule** + **Pay Rate:** $28-$36/hour + **Hours:** 40-50 hours per week + **Schedule:** Monday through Friday **Position Overview** We are seeking a motivated **Apprentice Electrician** to join our team on a solar installation site in Deer Trail, CO. This role focuses on **retrofit projects** and **all ground electrical work** , supporting the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and upgrading of solar energy systems. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to building a career in renewable energy. **Responsibilities** + Assist licensed electricians with solar site retrofits and ground electrical installations + Perform trenching, conduit installation, wire pulling, and terminations under supervision + Support testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems + Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety standards + Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols + Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards + Learn and apply electrical codes, standards, and best practices **Qualifications** + Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred + Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions + Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks + Reliable transportation to and from the job site **Benefits** + Hands-on training in solar energy and electrical retrofits + Opportunity for career growth in the renewable energy sector + Overtime opportunities available **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
