Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our client's team in Fullerton, California. The role involves supporting critical accounting functions during audits and year-end processes while collaborating closely with the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail. - Investigate and analyze accounting discrepancies and variances to ensure financial accuracy. - Generate and review audit reports to support compliance and regulatory requirements. - Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank statements. - Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of year-end accounting tasks. - Utilize Sage X3 accounting software to manage and process financial data. - Support audits by providing necessary documentation and detailed reports. - Conduct research on accounting entries to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. - Maintain organized financial records and assist in preparing reports for management review. - Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Controller to support the accounting department. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. - Proficiency in Sage X3 accounting software is required. - Strong knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Experience with preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. - Ability to analyze financial variances and discrepancies effectively. - Familiarity with audit processes and compliance standards. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
